A coalition of individuals and agricultural organizations has formed the U.S. Agriculture Partnership Fund (USAPF) to amplify the values shared by both farmers and the public to elevate the importance of agricultural policy in a bipartisan manner.
By providing valuable insights and information about agriculture’s impact on society, the USAPF will enhance public understanding of the industry’s vital role so future policies adhere to the realities of growing the food and fiber that are the mainstays of America. Through various communication channels, USAPF strives to create conversations that shape public opinion and influence policy decisions that align with shared values. Additionally, USAPF will raise awareness about the importance of agriculture in American daily life, highlighting the significant contributions of farmers and the agricultural community as well as consumer preferences shaping the market.
- USAPF Chairman Kip Tom, Former Ambassador to the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization and farmer: “Americans enjoy an affordable and safe food supply, but the growing trust gap between farmers and farm practices threatens to undermine this surplus of good fortune. Our agriculture system has helped avoid humanitarian disasters at home and abroad. USAPF is dedicated to keeping that stability in place.”
- USAPF Vice Chairwoman Nicole Montna Van Vleck, President and CEO of Montna Farms: “The success of modern agriculture in America is farmers are producing more food with fewer resources. USAPF will help farmers and ranchers strategically communicate with the public about how modern practices help achieve the consumers’ goals around heath, sustainability and affordability.”
- USAPF board member Collin Peterson, Former U.S. House Agriculture Committee Chairman: “Providing a safe food and fiber supply to stabilize national security is not a partisan priority, it’s an American priority. USAPF’s work benefits all of us by elevating the conversation about the impacts of agriculture policy.”
- USAPF board member Lisa Van Doren, National Council of Farmer Cooperatives Vice President and Chief of Staff quote: “Farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses continuously adapt their production practices in accordance with state and federal policies as well as consumer preferences. USAPF employs communication and education tools to inform policy makers and the public about key issues impacting the agriculture community.
- USAPF board member Randy Russell, President of the Russell Group and former USDA Chief of Staff: “We know everybody eats, but opinions on food and how it’s produced are as varied as the people who make up our country. Working together we can continue to enjoy a safe and affordable food supply while strengthening our national security without compromising our dedication to creating a better world for future generations.
USAPF is a bipartisan 501(c)4 dedicated to public education to benefit the public policy discussion around agriculture. Learn more at usapf.org.
