Supporting Shared Values Among Farmers, Ranchers, and the Public.
Those who grow, raise, prepare, market, and enjoy our nation’s food and fiber share many values. We all want a safe, affordable, healthy, and reliable food supply. Farmers and ranchers grow crops and raise livestock to feed and clothe their families and you. They adopt practices scientifically designed and approved to preserve land, respect livestock, and safely and efficiently bring products to market. Similarly, consumers want access to healthy, high-quality, and low cost options when feeding themselves and their loved ones. Farmers, ranchers, processors, retailers, and the public can work together to ensure our food supply continues to provide the foundation for our nation’s success.
The Vital Role of Conversation in Shaping Food and Agriculture Perceptions
There is no shortage of opinions when it comes to food. Open any social media platform and you will quickly find advice on what or what not to eat, how or how not to grow crops, where or where not to shop, etc. With so many voices talking, who is listening? USAPF fosters conversations up and down the supply chain to identify shared values and develop resources to ensure public policies support those values.
And we do it in a bipartisan way.
